Prelim Planning

We were tasked with producing the front page for a new school/college magazine on Photoshop. The photo that we were asked to used was a medium close up and we were asked to use an appropriate layout and mast head for the genre of the magazine. We were also asked to create a mock up of the layout of the contents page, also in Photoshop.
Below is a list of all the things that needed to be included on the front cover of the magazine-
-Date and Other Details
-Masthead
-Cover Lines giving interesting info
-Eye Catching Image
-Direct Address
-Colloquial Language to make your magazine relatable to your audience
-Colour+ Fonts need to reflect the audience

We then had to decide on various aspects of the magazine-
-Genre of the magazine- Advice/Careers
-Target Audience- Year 12 and Year 13
-Name of the magazine-LCCareers
-Type of features-Job weekly, Main story (About a student), What career is for you? etc

Various types of Lighting-
1. Key Light- The key light is the main light that is used when film making or photography. This will light the model and offer composition to the shot.
2. Fill Light- The fill light is used to give an equal spread of light across the shot
3. Hair Light-Add shadowing onto face to equalise light from Key Light.
